Fort Worth's Landmark Expansion
The ANNEX Rooftop Lounge draws its name from a Fort Worth building with a rich history. What began as a 1928 garage transformed into a hotel in 1968. It expanded in the late 1970s as "The Annex," adding 230 rooms and a pool, and was marketed as "Fort Worth's New Sheraton" to boost tourism.
Known as The Annex Texas Hotel, it served the city until 2008, then sat vacant for nearly two decades.
In a dramatic revitalization, the building reopened in 2024 as Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown. This comprehensive renewal brought brand-new, fresh interiors, with designer Leslie Wynne leading the elegant aesthetic. The transformation includes a stunningly redesigned sixth-floor pool deck, now featuring new landscaping and a glass railing system that offers panoramic views of the Fort Worth skyline.
Perched atop this revitalized landmark is The ANNEX Rooftop Lounge. More than just a name, it's a nod to the building's storied past, reimagined for today's discerning guest. Here, we invite you to savor the good life, with a menu full of craft cocktails, live music, and an ambiance designed to transport guests back to the era of glamorous travel, all while overlooking the vibrant city.
